gold mine for sale
Yukon Territory - Canada
10 years ago I fulfilled my lifelong dream and emigrated from Switzerland to Canada. The Rainbow Mine became my adventure in fulfilling that dream.
Above all, I enjoyed the good time in seclusion. I've never really looked for gold myself. I've been busy over the years fixing the engines and building the cabin and a scoop.
Due to family changes and health concerns, I have decided with a heavy heart to sell the gold mine.
The Rainbow Mine
This mine consists of 12 claims. 1 claim measures 150 meters upstream and 300 meters to the left and right of the creek, i.e. 150 x 600 meters (500 x 2000 feet). That's 9 hectares per claim. With the twelve claims, the buyer acquires the right to mine gold on a total area of 108 hectares (placer mining). The deposited gravel is about 3 to 4 meters thick. Gold is mainly found in the lowest meter, directly above the bedrock.
Legal
The mine owner also has the right to cut down trees for the work and maintenance of the mine. Also, the mine owner has the right to build shelters for himself and his employees.
However, the mine itself does not constitute a residence. Owners and employees are permitted to stay on the mine property for a maximum of 181 days per year. The government wants to prevent the mines from being converted into holiday and residential areas.
Important
Here's another important detail to know: In order to prevent the mines from being used exclusively for holiday purposes, the respective owner must ensure that a minimum of annual work is done (assessment work). This work consists of digging and moving soil and gravel. The Bureau of Mining Affairs at the Federal Office in Whitehorse provides information on the minimum work to be performed.
water license
A new water license must be applied for every ten years. This license for the Rainbow Mine was renewed in May 2019, so it is still valid until May 2029.
